Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was an artist that defined the "pop art" age. Warhol was loved my most, but there were those who disliked Warhol. The reason being that he had a way of consuming his workers lives. Andy Warhol's artwork was captivating and original. No one had ever seen anything like it. He could take something so oridinary such as a Coke bottle or a Campbell Soup can and turn it into a wonderful piece or art. Andy Warhols artwork is on exhibit everywhere.
Ewan McGregor
Ewan McGregor is known for his wonderful acting. Most know McGregor for the role, Obi-Wan Kenobi, he played in the ever-so-famous Star Wars. I became fascinated with this actor after I saw the musical Moulin Rouge. He appeared very handsome and engaging. I believe it was when McGregor began singing "The hills are alive with the sound of music" that I realized how wonderful this man was. He has never ending talent and never seizes to amaze his viewers.

Favorite Job.
I think it's safe to say that you know you've found the right job when you look forward to going. I am a Montessori assistant teacher and above all jobs, this one is the most rewarding. I work with people I really like and they like me as well. When I walk into my classroom and the children run towards me and wrap themselves around my leg, I know I've made an impact. Being able to mold a childs mind into something bright and creative gives you a great sense of accomplishment. "Teachers may not make much, but they do make a difference."
Six Flags.
There are the people that love a rush and others that fear it. Then there are those who attempt to conquer their fears. I was one of the attemptees about 5 years ago. The summer was quickly approaching and my friends and I really wanted to do something fun. The first thing that came to mind was an amusement park and Six Flags was the only option. Not thinking about my fear of roller coasters, I immediately said yes. As we approached the largest roller coaster in the whole park, my stomach went up into my throat and I couldn't speak. Fortunately, I made it through the ride before I started vomiting from heat exhaustion.

Birthday.
Majority of people can agree that on your birthday, you feel like you're on top of the world. On your birthday you can't feel any higher or more special. I am one of the many people that can say that my birthday, is my day. When you get a wake up call from Mom singing, "You're my sunshine...," that brightens up your whole day. After you soon realize that Mom stopped singing because she got all choked up, it tugs at your heart a bit. Every year is a kind of reminisce over the previous years. Nonetheless, it's your birthday and you can't help but feel like everything is all about you.
Hotels.
Hotels are offered to tourists, business men and women, traveling families, and party throwers. Well they aren't so much offered for parties, but hotel parties are a great idea. For the most part, people enjoy their stay at hotels. I'm not sure if it's the little shampoos and soaps, or the room service. It could be the privacy and cleanliness of the room. Maybe it's the fact that you are offered a pool and a continental breakfast. Whatever it may be, hotels are a great source of relaxation and a good time.
Purse.
Big purse, small purse, enormous purse, or maybe a handbag is what fancies you. Whichever it may be, most girls (and guys) carry one. A purse isn't just something you use to match with your outfit or to make a fashion statement. Purses are a place to store your necessities while you're out and about. A purse is a place to hide some of your most embarassing and personal items from the people you wouldn't want to show. We use purses to store our make up, money, and everything else we use on a daily basis. Purses are a place to keep your little necessities that mean alot.

Swinging.
When I was about 9, I learned how to play softball. The most difficult concept for me to grip was how to swing the bat and how to stand when swinging the bat. I would sit in the audience and watch other softball players and noticed most had their own signature. Some would spit and wiggle their foot before they swung and others would twirl the bat around behind them. I was fascinated with the "signature" that the girls would use. Since then, when I went to bat I would squint my eyes, twirl my bat behind my head, and swing.
Moms Office.
Normally, parents have a photo or two of their children on their desk. My mom has a cubicle surrounded with photos and drawings of us on each wall. Her office is always decorated with the appropriate decorations for that holiday. Whether it be Christmas or Halloween you can always count on seeing lights or statues resting on her desk. You can't help but smile when you walk across my mom's cubicle and discover all the things there's to look at. My mom has an overly-decorated cubicle.
Reid's Ranch.
We all have our favorite get-aways or a place we love to go to. Many people love going to the beach, to a water park, fishing, etc. My friends and I like going to Reid's ranch. It isn't an exhausting drive through traffic but a smooth drive with a nice view. You aren't bumper to bumper with cars because there aren't too many in this area of town. At Reid's ranch you can hang out in the house or camp out in the tent. It seems to be that the possibilities of having fun here are endless.

Library.
It is normally known as a nice gesture to greet people, correct? Only partially right. When starting small talk with someone you've never met, make sure they're interested in engaging in conversation. Today as I was sitting in the library working on papers, homework, and such this guy thought it would be nice to strike up a conversation. I am normally one that loves to talk, but I was busy and that was quite apparent considering we were in the library. After I told him nicely that I was trying to write blogs for my English class, he suggested I write one about how he talks too much. So here it is, the blog on how the guy in the library talks too much.

Punta Leona.
When visiting Costa Rica I saw and visited some of the most amazing rainforests, stores, and resorts. Among all the places I visited in Costa Rica, one place in particular made my stay there much more memorable. My mom, brother, two sisters and I stayed in a resort called Punta Leona. Punta Leona had beautifully built cabins surrounded by palm tress, mango trees, coconut tress, and much more. While walking along the sidewalk outside by the cabins, the sweet aroma of mango filled the air. If you walked just a bit further you'd see beautiful clear water, white sands, and surfers. Punta Leona had to be among of the best places we visited in Costa Rica.
Abuelitas House.
Everyone has had the oppurtunity to visit a museum whether it be a childrens museum or the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. And if you haven't, maybe you have experienced a museum-like place. My Abuelita, which is a respectful way of saying Grandma in Spanish, lives in a house that resembles a museum. When you enter her house you have to be sure not to touch anything. Everything on "display" is made out of glass and not locked up behind glass for viewing. Tip-toeing around and being cautious is essential when you are inside of "Abueltias Museum". It is also believed that there hasn't been a crum, piece of hair, or dust seen about the place in fifteen years. My Abuelitas house is a museum.

Austin.
In my opinion, Austin isn't a place to live but to visit. Maybe you are visiting a friend at college, the capital building, or The Strand. No matter what you plan on doing in Austin, you are in for a good time. When shopping in Austin, you can choose from an array of shopping centers, malls, thrift stores, or small stands set up on the street. As the night approaches, the possibilities of having fun only increase. The clubs, bars, and house parties are among all of the "Austin Experience". Having too much of something is never good. But visiting Austin is a must.
Amy's Room.
My friend Amy has a strong love for cats, unfortunately I do not. Her bed is coated with cat hair; resembling a fur blanket almost. Due to the small size of her room and the enormous furniture to go with it, one would think that she'd have a bit of organization...or lack thereof. When entering Amy's room you have to slowly crack the door, wedge your foot in to kick all the clothes and objects out of the way, and then proceed to open it. After you are finally in her room, you have carefully tip toe around as to not break any of the random objects lying beneath the clothes. Amy's has a very messy room.
Anxiety.
There tends to be a place where people strongly dislike being. It could be the hospital, Grandma's house, the mall, or maybe even a party. My personality may come off as very bubbly and I may seem extraverted, and I am, but when it comes to large social crowds, I will avoid it at all costs. Throwing back a few beers is what I do best, but when my anxiety gets the best of me, I will not be going to that party that "everyone will be at". I strongly dislike large crowds of people that I don't know.
Caleb
There's always that guy at the club that thinks he is suave and looks so good on the dance floor. But what that guy doesn't know is that everyone is looking at him from a distance, and questioning whether he is having a seizure, if they should call the ambulance, or is he really attempting to dance? My friend Caleb is not "that guy" but the complete opposite. Caleb makes everyone want to clear the floor and take cover. He moves every part of his body so perfectly to the beat of the music. Caleb is one of the best dancers I know.

Walters.
People of all ages have been coming here to see their favorite bands play for years now. This isn't just a place to throw back a few, but it's a music venue as well. I have been going to Walters on Washington to see my friend's bands play and some of my favorite bands play for years now. When you walk throught those doors and see the merchandise tables set up, walk through a smokey haze, and have to yell to have a conversation with the person right next to you, you know you are in for a good night. Walters on Washington definitly is a hot spot if you are looking for a good time.
Element Gaming.
When playing video games, most people like to sit at home and enjoy themselves without any disturbance. Not me, I love to be in a room full of gamers, this way I know I'm not alone. One gaming place inparticular is the one I prefer to go to and it's called Element Gaming. Element Gaming gives you the gaming feel. The room is full of camoflauge netting, the lights are dimmed, and every few seconds you will hear gamers yelling at eachother across the room. Why would anyone want to go anywhere else to game? Element Gaming makes you feel like you are right where you are supposed to be when you're gaming.
Mom.
After my parents got divorced, I never thought going to "moms" would feel right. The idea of going to two houses was a very new, yet awkward approach for me. I definitly proved myself wrong on this one. After going to my moms house, I felt like I was right at home again. Everytime I walked in the house, I smelt the most delicious, home-cooked meals and a huge grin would come across my face. And to know that I was going to sit down around a table and eat a wonderful dinner with my mom made it all better. Going to moms house makes me feel right at home again.
Room.
Everyone has their comfort zone; a place where they can go to just relax and get away from all the worries that come with life. It could be your favorite chair, your bed, your closet or to be more general, your home. My comfort zone is my room. Whenever I feel like I am carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, I walk to my room and plop down on my bed. Sometimes I'll put some music on and just forget about work, school, arguments...the things that stress me out. When I'm in my room, there is no place I'd rather be. My room is my comfort zone.

Potatoe Patch.
If you have never been to The Potatoe Patch, you are missing out. It is a cute and cozy place and makes you feel right at home. From their throwed-rolls to their pass arounds, I don't know what people come for more. The Potatoe Patch is known for its friendly service and interesting decorations throughout the whole resturaunt. It's not only a place to sit down and eat but to be enertained as well. The Potatoe Patch is "more than great country cookin'--it's a unique dining experience" as well.

Porcelain Musical.
When the day comes that a little girl recieves a family tradition, she never feels more proud then at that moment. It was my turn to recieve something and when my Grandmother explained the importance of the item she was giving to me, I never felt more honored. As my Grandma handed me the box which contained the item she held dear, the biggest grin swept across my face. Within the box was a porcelain figurine and when you twisted it, it played such a beautiful melody. Knowing how important the porcelain figurine was to my grandma, made me cherish it more then I ever would.
Red Sox.
The feeling you get when you know you have tickets to the Red Sox game at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts is an unbelievable feeling. The excitment that builds up when you think of walking in the parking lot towards the Fenway Park entrance is phenomenal. When you hear the pre-game advertisements over the loud speaker it makes you want to join the crowd and start cheering. You have to remember not to let your imagination get the best of you. You are only holding the ticket in your hand, you aren't there yet.

Scarf.
Scarfs are generally used to keep warm during cold weather or to look cute. But have you ever heard of a scarf that can be used as a belt, head wrap, and even turned into a shirt? I never knew there was such a thing, until I purchased a seafoam green one at a clothing store called American Aparell. A scarf that serves multiple purposes really comes in handy. Maybe I'm having a bad hair day, want to wear a tank top, or need a belt to go with my outfit. I now have all this in one. This seafoam green scarf was among one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Balloons.
Among all the uses balloons may have, the most popular uses for balloons are to decorate, celebrate, and have water balloon fights. If you are throwing a birthday party, you have to include balloons. Balloons are decorative and fun to play with! Whether you lay them on the ground or hang them up with streamers, balloons are a necessity at a party. But if you want to have alot of fun with balloons, fill ALOT of balloons up with water and throw them at your friends. Balloons serve many uses and ways of entertainment.
Chris Carrabba.
One day while at IKEA, I came across these brightly painted picture frames. The walls in my room are teal, so I bought an orange one to contrast the colors of my wall. I was so happy with my purchase but I didn't know what I wanted to put inside of the picture frame. When I came across the painting my friend made of Chris Carrabba, the most handsome, amazing singer ever, I knew that it would be perfect! So above my bed, within the frame is a painting of the most amazing vocalist ever.
Exhibit.
Everyone that likes art, has a favorite artist. I found out who my favorite artist is the day I visited the art museum. While at the art museum, I came across this one exhibit by an artist named Damien Hirst that interested me the most out of all of them. It was called "The End Game". The artist had a display of all medical tools and items that are used in preparation for a surgery along with two skeletons. With this he portrayed how surgery can be the beginning of your life or the end. In my opinion, this is one of the most amazing exhibits I've ever seen.
Coffee.
The dictionary defintion for addiction is "the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma." Now, I don't think my case goes as far to say it's a "trauma", nor is it narcotics. I am addicted to coffee! I love the smell of it, the taste of it, and I even love how the coffee mug warms up my hands on a cold day. Above all, coffee is my worst addiction.

Fish
This object isn't necessarily intended to be held in my hand, but worn upon my finger. If you couldn't guess, it's a ring. This one ring inparticular is plastic, green, and has a fish in it. In fact, it was bought for a quarter out of a vending machine. This ring among all of my rings appears to be the least expensive but its value to me is very great. This ring represents many of my closest friends that also wear a similar ring upon their fingers. In short, family, friends, forever is what this ring represents.
Hiking Stick.
When I was young, my family and I would always go to state parks. We enjoyed spending the day together in the warm sun eating a delicious lunch on the picnic table, throwing frisbees, and going on hiking trips with Dad. We always look forward to the hiking trails that Dad took us on. Before we would begin our journey, my brothers, sisters, dad, and I would always find a hiking stick for each of us to use. We often complained about the long, tiring journey, but once we got to the end of trails and looked at the view of the lake over a cliff, it was well worth the long hike.
Ticket.
A few months ago, I discovered this band called Architecture in Helsinki. I soon became a fan of this synth-pop band from Austrailia. To me, their music was one of the most extrodinary things I had ever heard. The eight members of the band worked so well together to make the most beautiful music. To my amazement and surprise, I saw that they had an upcoming show in my area. I didn't have a job at the time, so I had to beg my mom to buy me the thirty dollar ticket. My begging was well worth it. Once I recieved the ticket, it was the most glorious moment of my life. That was the best show I've ever been to.

The Secret Life of Bees
When I took English in 11th grade, we were given a reading assignment. I don't know about everyone else, but I know that when I am assigned to read a book...I dread it. The teacher passed around a list of books that were available for reading. After given the list, I quickly chose a book called The Secret Life of Bees. I already didn't want to read the book, let alone purchase it. Soon after I bought the book and began reading it, I couldn't put it down. The Secret Life of Bees is one of the best books I've ever read.
Cigarettes
Statistics say that, in America alone, "25.1 million men and 20.9 million women" smoke cigarettes. This is an outrageous amount of people that have become addicted, whether they admit it or not, to nicotine. I smoked cigarettes for about a year and then began to question why I was doing it. Was it because all my friends did or because I actually enjoyed it? Maybe it was cause I was became addicted after just one. I still do this day do not know the answer. I have come to the conclusion that cigarettes are a sick addiction in more ways then one and it isn't worth having smelly hair, breath, smelly clothes, and a raspy voice.

Favorite Tote
Many people have favorite shirts, jeans, bands, etc. I have a favorite tote bag. I was window shopping with a friend, sometime in the Spring, when out of the corner of my eye I saw a big red and white tote bag. I ran into the store and told my friend Lauren..."I have to have this bag!" It was a very big red bag, kinda long, and had a cutout of hands and a flower. One hand was holding the flower and the other was picking petals off as to represent "I love you, I love you not."
Win Boo Boo Butler
I believe it was an October night when I was having a hangout session with my friends, when I found my Win Boo Boo Butler. He had probably escaped from some careless neighbors house. But I found him and I've had a smile across my face ever since. Win Boo Boo Butler is a small hamster that has orange and white furr. He fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and is as harmless as a fly. He has on a few occassions bit my friends, but never me. He has a big comfy;cozy cage. It has a big pink neon ball that he runs in, colorful mini feeding sticks, and a little TV for him to play in. Win Boo Boo Butler is the best pet I've ever had.

Digital.
You never know when something amazing is going to pass you by. So, always expect the unexpected and prepare yourself. Within my group of friends, I'm known for always having my digital camera. I keep my camera in my purse and bring it with me everywhere I go. My friends call me paparazzi, I always have my camera out and ready. I love to capture the moment and reminisce over it later. My camera isn't a professional one or an expensive one for that matter. It, just like my phone, has been dropped countless number of times and it sometimes doesn't turn on. But, when something glorious or amazing happens, it never lets me down.

Lead Phone
I couldn't tell you how many times it has been dropped in the short amount of time I've had it. The front screen isn't even apparent anymore and I couldn't count the scratches on it even if I tryed. The logo on the front isn't even legible anymore cause of all the dents and accidents it has encountered. My friends make fun of my phone cause of how ugly it appears. Friendly jestering aside, my phone never lets me down. No matter how ugly it is and no matter how many times it has been dropped, it always works. I have a phone made of lead.

Controller.
The anticipation for the big race to start is making my palms sweaty and my hands shakey. I sit upright and lock my eyes onto the track. Everything else besides the track now becomes hazy. "Ready! Set! Go!" The flag goes down and I'm off to a good start. As I zoom off and try to maneuver my way up to first place, I see a blue Corvette out of the corner of my eye. The blue Corvette begins to pass me up so by instinct I accelerate and try to take the lead once again. I can see the finish line in the distance, it is now becoming more visible. I won the race!!! I drop the controller and share a high-five with my friend, the driver of the blue Corvette.

Make Up.
Eyeliner, mascara, foundation, and blush. Take your pick...I'll take them all. Some call it a mask and others make up. People use it to hide their insecurities or their "flaws". Others use it cause they think they're ugly without it, but then realize they're also not pretty enough with it. Caking on make up may make you feel more content with how you appear and feel. But, in fact, caking on make up will only make you appear less real; as if you're wearing a mask. Natural beauty should be satisfying and appealing not only to the beauty but to the on-looker as well.
Costa Rican Sunset
We all know the cliche saying ,"Every picture says a million words." But when I come across this one picture inparticular, I become speechless. Not speechless due to laughter, tears, or sarcasm. But I'm left speechless due to amazement. As I sit in awe staring at this photo, I can't help but wonder how people let something so phenominal pass them by. Maybe they are used to the redundant occurance and now show lack of interest. As for me, I seize the moment and welcome it with open arms. Every evening, for those two short weeks, when the sun would set, I'd stand outside with my camera and wait for the oranges', yellows', blues', and reds' to dance accross the sky and make the most extrodinary photo I've ever seen.
Routine
Everyone has some kind of structure or routine to their day. Let me walk you through a normal morning routine for me. In a daze, I stretch my right arm out and feel around for my phone on the night stand. Once it is located, I then check the time and slowly rise out of bed. After I gain conciousness, I walk over to the restroom, splash water on my face in an attempt to wake myself up, and then pat my face dry. It is about this time that I look in the mirror and realize that eveything is out of sight; out of focus. I rub my eyes hoping that this will help everything jump back into focus. Then I soon realize...I forgot to put on my glasses.
